About April Cornell

Dear Friends,

In times of uncertainty, we have always found solace in the beauty, creativity, and hope that our business embodies. Each time life presents new challenges, we turn to our core values- kindness, sincerity, and a commitment to artistry- reaffirming our pledge to appreciate and uplift humanity. April Cornell has always been more than a business; it is a reflection of our deep belief in the power of beauty to inspire and unite us all.

From our humble beginnings in a small Victorian walk-up in Westmount, Quebec, nearly 50 years ago, to the present day, our commitment has remained steadfast. We are deeply grateful for the opportunities we’ve had to support first-generation learners in India, assist at-risk youth in Vermont, and collaborate with women’s groups and shelters in Montreal. These initiatives are woven into the fabric of our mission, just as Canada is woven into the fabric of our identity. Without Canada, there would be no Dawson College fostering young artists, which means no adventurous spirit that took us across the world, no India, and ultimately, no April Cornell.

Our hearts remain firmly tied to Canada. We take immense pride in employing our fellow Canadians, contributing to the economy, and honoring our responsibilities. We have always believed in showing up- with diligence and advocacy- where we can make a meaningful impact. And no matter what comes, we will continue to carry forward the values and inspirations that first took root in Canada.

So, as we navigate these times together, know that our optimism remains unshaken and our commitment to beauty and humanity will endure. We are endlessly grateful for your support and for the kindness you shine into the world.

Additionally, here are some facts about our business:

  • Incorporated in Montreal in 1975
  • Fulfillment for Canadian customers through our shipping facility in Cowansville, QC
  • Offices & Canadian flagship on Greene Avenue in Westmount, Montreal (since 1975)
  • Product imported to the Port of Montreal
  • A lifelong commitment to our Canadian business and customers

With gratitude,
April
